Started off with just another late-day in school. I came in at 7+. Early? No.. I'm always coming to school that early every Wednesday. Settled down in the canteen. About 7.35 Hidayah and Hui Xian came and few minutes later, Carmen arrived. I got a little bored waiting but luckily I got buy New Paper earlier. Wah... Front page already show half-naked actress Zhang Ziyi. I don't want to tell more about the story.. Pictures already like 'Porn'(YUCK!!). They all had also read a little of the newspaper(Curious mah..) nothing much today though..
If you are wondering what the heck is the title 'Band Practice 1.1.2', well the '1.1.2 is actually month.week.practice day. So today its "month 1.week 1.practice day 2". Get used to it cause I'm gonna write that more often! Band practice today was a BLAST! We practiced on Cantus Jubilante fast parts. Kinda fun playing fast but sometimes my fingers got a little "jammed" and I got few wrong notes. Played from 94 till the end, I liked the Flute 1 solo(Nice one Cass!) she played with quite clean non-airy sound. And also I liked the ending. Woodwinds ended with Triplets while the Brasses closes the Music with semi-quavers. The way the played the fp or FortePiano crescendo was kinda grand from soft to about ff(Fortissimo). I was like WOW! They did that really well! But still got room for improvement..
Tomorrow is Sectionals! Can get a little bored BUT, must really teach my sec. 2s for Cantus Jubilante. They must by the end of the day able to play it well. That's my secondary objective, my main objective is to memorise Cantus Jubilante. Yep. Start to finish. Total Training I had already memorised during warm-up so got no problems with that. I also wanna play Overture No. 1 for Wind Band!! Its FUN playing it! Like the song!! The fun comes when you already get the rhythm of the music. I took 2 practices(excluding exchange with DMB and Ngee Ann sec) to get the rhythm in my head. Before that I was like HUH?? WHAT IS TIS?? Heheh.. Hope you all out there fully know how to play the song. Start to finish. Then Mr. Yeo's job is left to help us fix on our Dynamics, Articulation etc. I already did. Hahaha. Well done me.
So, everyone must PRACTICE HARD!! SYF is only few months away! No more time for slacking already!! Save your slacking for after Speech Day! I just hate to step down from band. Its already in my soul.. THE MUSIC OF MY SOUL!! That's all I have to say.. Getting late.. Gotta sleep.. Nite-nite people!
